22.01.2018 11:46 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
One of the most promising directions for the development of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in the field of agriculture is the supply of eco-products, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food says referring to Ukrainian First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Maxym Martyniuk report made while commenting the Ukrainian participation within the International Green Week in Berlin.
"If we talk about the potential for bilateral trade in general, then I see the greatest potential within the sphere of organic products’ output. On the one hand, the demand for this category is growing steadily as a response to the actual trends of the consumer market, on the other hand - Ukraine has the opportunity to boost its organic products’ output, and correspondingly, to boost export, " he said.
As to him, the stable development of this industry is possible if an appropriate law is adopted - that would establish clear requirements for the certification of organic production. «We expect that the Verkhovna Rada will adopt this law within shirt time, and after the approval of all subordinate acts, our legislation will be harmonized with the European one in terms of regulation of organic products’ output,» he admitted.
