Ukrainian Government intends to expand Ukrainian-Russian relations

"We have worked and will work to strengthen our relations with the Russian Federation. It is definitely our policy," Mykola Azarov said on December 25 during a meeting with a delegation of the State Duma, Mykola Azarov Official Website reports.
Prime Minister noted the expansion of cooperation with the Russian Federation in high-tech industries of the economy.
In addition, Prime Minister suggested the Russian side to consider the possibility of holding Ukrainian-Russian committee for trade and economic cooperation in the first quarter of 2013.
In turn, the chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs and Relations with Compatriots of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Leonid Slutsky said that Ukraine and Russia might hold meeting of Joint Committee in Dnepropetrivsk in the coming months: «During the meeting of the Committee we would like to place a bet on the development of cooperation in high-tech industries, in particular in aircarft and space industry».
In addition, the politician expressed hope that this initiative would be supported by deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the 7th convocation.
