Ukraine should join some provisions of Customs Union, President believes

President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych considers that Ukraine should join some provisions of the Customs Union, otherwise it will lose a lot in economic terms.
The President noted that he discussed the issue on cooperation between Ukraine and the CU with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin within the CIS summit, he told journalists on Wednesday in Ashgabat, ForUm reports.
According to the Ukrainian President, Russia has been and remains the central country that unites the CIS countries.
In particular, Yanukovych explained that Russia has the most resources in comparison with other countries of the Commonwealth.
Taking about the fact that economic interests of Ukraine may suffer if it does not consider some provisions of the Customs Union, Yanukovych noted that the Customs Union will also suffer without Ukraine.
«Ukrainian trade with the Customs Union exceeds 60 billion dollar, and we have to find a solution. It is our duty,» he said.
