Azarov: Ukraine in talks to renegotiate terms of WTO accession

Ukraine is in talks with the World Trade Organization to review the conditions of accession to the WTO, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at a meeting with representatives of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine on Thursday, NRCU reports.
«We are currently holding specific negotiations and trying to find a compromise solution. And I think that we will achieve this,» said the head of the government. He noted that negotiations on Ukraines accession to the WTO lasted 16 years, and the agreement was concluded under not very favorable conditions for our state. Therefore, Ukraine has initiated a review of a large number of provisions of the WTO accession agreement. Ukraine joined the organization on May 16, 2008, becoming the 152nd full member of the WTO.
