Kyiv the most competitive region of Ukraine

The Effective Management Fund presented the report on the Competitiveness of Regions of Ukraine for 2012. Thus, according to the report, Kyiv, as the last few years in a row, got the first position in the ranking with an index of 4.37 points,
ForUm says referring to the Kyiv City State Administration.
Second position went to Kharkiv region, ahead of Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv region lost fourth place to Donetsk region, taking this year’s fifth position in the ranking.
Kyiv is the first under such components as infrastructure, technological readiness, the macroeconomic environment, the size of the market. It holds the second position in terms of higher education and vocational training.
The report of the Fund includes indixes for all 27 administrative-territorial units of Ukraine - 24 regions, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the cities with special status: Kyiv and Sevastopil. The basis of the report is the index of competitiveness of the regions of Ukraine, which is calculated according to the methodology used by the World Economic Forum (WEF) to evaluate the competitiveness of the world countries.
