President: Authority will continue country's modernization

Effective work on realization of the Program of Economic Reforms for 20102014 promoted improvement of the economic situation in the state and enabled raising social standards and increasing the level of wages, pensions, etc. President Viktor Yanukovych has noted this yesterday during a meeting with candidates to positions of chairmen of district state administrations, the Presidential press service informs.
«In May 2010, a national plan of reforms was announced and we started modernization of our country,» Yanukovych reminded, emphasizing on the difficult economic situation, faced by Ukraine in 2010. According to the President, reformation steps started by the power authority enabled reaching 4.3% of the economy growth in 2010, slightly rising citizens incomes pensions, wages, etc. «2011 is the year of 5.2% of GDP growth, also budget revenues increased. Inflation was 4.6%. Wages increased slightly too, pensions and social standards,» Yanukovych added. Just thanks to such changes and strengthening of positive trends in the national economy, a real base for declaration of new social initiatives appeared, the Head of state noted. «We looked at Q1 and saw that incomes rise, the economy grows too. We went to raising social standards,» he said. According to the President, the power authority is set toward 100% fulfillment of the program, planned for this year. He stressed, in particular, on importance of preservation of stability in the country. «Stability is a pledge of the economy improvement and improvement of citizens life,» the Head of state summed up.
