Prime Minister will hold a meeting on anti-floods in the Carpathian region

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov will hold a meeting on anti-floods in the Carpathian region, in Uzhgorod. The PM informed about it at a briefing during a trip to Zakarpattia.
He noted that in addition to leaders of the Zakarpattia region, to the meeting it is also invited representatives of the Carpathians, Bukovina and other troubled regions that suffer from flooding.
«My trip to the region is caused primarily to the fact to consider preparing for spring flooding in all of our mountain regions, as for them flood is usually extremely dangerous and economically costly phenomenon. And therefore today I will hold in the regional administration meeting to be considered preparation issues for the spring flood,» Mykola Azarov informed.
According to weather forecasters, he underlined, this year’s flood will not be anomalous. Mykola Azarov said that the anti-flood program «Tisa» is funded in full.
Prime Minister noted that if during a meeting turns out need assigning additional funds, the Government is ready for it. «During the meeting I want to hear, examine the situation and, if necessary, to allocate additional resources. So far, the forecasts indicate that flood will by normally, not abnormally high, because stocks of snow in the mountains do not exceed the average level,» said Mykola Azarov.
At the same time, Prime Minister assign a task the Minister of Emergencies Viktor Baloga to take all measures to avoid human losses.
