Goldman Sachs expert: Russia’s GDP could be surprise
29.11.2011 09:02 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Russia’s GDP may beat the ones of France, the UK and Germany by 2030, former Goldman Sachs chief economist and creator of the term BRIC Jim O’Neill stated in his Growth Map book.
«If Russia fulfils its potential, it will create all sorts of interesting and complex political and social issues for the European Union which could raise the possibility of Russian membership if the country avoids the crisis,» writes O’Neill.
The book marks 10 years since the creation of the union between Brazil, India, Russia and China. In February 2011, it was joined by South Africa and turned into BRICS. Source: ITAR-TASS.
