US wheat export declines 35% during Mar.26- Apr 1: USDA

As per the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), export of wheat US during the period Mar 26- Apr 1, 2010 stood at 450,300 MT were down 35% from the previous week and 7% from the prior 4-week average.
The primary destinations were Japan (88,600 MT), Nigeria (79,500 MT), China (50,600 MT), Iraq (50,200 MT), Mexico (40,200 MT), and South Africa (31,900 MT).
During the above period, net sales of wheat in the US stood at 323,700 MT delivery in 2009/10 were down 25% from the previous week and 16% from the prior 4-week average.
Increases were reported for the Philippines (66,100 MT), China (55,600 MT), Taiwan (47,700 MT), Japan (45,300 MT), and South Africa (31,900 MT, including 29,900 MT switched from unknown destinations). Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (43,700 MT). Net sales of 209,700 MT for delivery in 2010/11 were mainly for Nigeria (210,000 MT) and South Korea (23,000 MT). Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (43,000 MT).
