15 regions Jan beef prices up 0.3-3.1%, to UAH35,08-42 per kg

03.02.2010 17:36 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Within Jan 2010 beef prices have grown 0.3–3.1% (up to UAH35,08–42 per kg) on 15 regions markets and simultaneously declined 0.3–6.8% (down to UAH35,69–42,21 per kg) on 4 regions markets against Dec 2009, reported Ministry of Economics representative. As to representative, Jan 2010 maximal (UAH42,21 per kg) and minimal (UAH34,61 per kg) beef prices have been registered correspondingly on c. Kyiv and AR of the Crimea region markets. As to Ministry of Economics, Jan 2010 retail sale network beef prices have risen 0.3–7.4% (up to UAH32,82–37,36 per kg) against Dec 2009 in shops of 8 regions; at same time, prices lowered 0.1–1.8% (down to UAH36,33–38,22 per kg) as of Dec 2009 in shops of 4 regions. As to report, Jan 2010 highest (UAH40,1 per kg) and lowest (UAH30,91 per kg) beef prices have been registered correspondingly in Vinnytsia region and Kherson region shops. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in Dec 2009 beef prices rose 0.3–8.3% (up to UAH34,61–46,04 per kg) on 22 regions markets as of Nov 2009. As to Agro Perspective, within Dec 2009 beef prices had lifted 0.3–26.3% (up to UAH31,72–40,1 per kg) in 11 regions retail sale network shops and simultaneously lowered 0.4–7.7% (down to UAH32,79–38,7 per kg) in 7 regions retail sale network shops against Nov 2009.
