As of Jan-Oct, agrarians surged grains sales by 40.9%, up to 23.227 mn MT

01.12.2009 17:56 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — In Jan-Oct 2009 agricultural companies have lifted grains sales to 23.227 mn MT, up 6.746 mn MT (+ 40.9%) against Jan-Oct 2008, reported State Statistics Committee.

As for Jan-Sept 2009 grains sales structure, companies sold 3.9% total grains to processors; 0.9% were given to population (incl. public catering system) on account of salaries, 5.1% - to shareholders on account of land plots/property shares rental payment.

6.8% grains were sold on markets (83.3% - through other trade channels).

As to report, in Jan-Oct 2008 agrarians sold 16.481 mn MT grains.

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in Jan-Sept 2009 agrarians had hoisted grains sales to 19.67 mn MT, up 5.969 mn MT (+ 43.6%) against Jan-Sept 2008.
