As of Jan-May, agrarians surged grains sales by 3,1 times, up to 8.634 mn MT

01.07.2009 13:39 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — In Jan-May 2009 agricultural companies have lifted grains sales to 8.634 mn MT, up 3,1 times (+ 5.84 mn MT) against Jan-May 2008, reported State Statistics Committee.

As for Jan-May 2009 grains sales structure, companies sold 4% total grains to processors; 0.8% were given to population (incl. public catering system) on account of salaries, 1.6% - to shareholders on account of land plots/property shares rental payment.

7.3% grains were sold on markets (86.3% - through other trade channels).

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in Jan-May 2008 agrarians had sold 2.794 mn MT grains.
