27.01.2009 12:39 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As to Premier Yuliya Tymoshenko Cabinet press-conference Jan 22/09 report, she hopes International Monetary Fund (IMF) will continue providing finances to Ukraine up to stand-by credit allocated last year Nov. “This program is being executed now and I hope it will continue further on,” declared Premier. Reportedly, IMF mission is going to come to Ukraine. Mission program includes IMF/Ukraine memorandum obligations fulfillment examination. It is to be reminded, Nov 05/08 IMF approved granting to Ukraine US$16.43 milliard stabilization credit in order to strengthen Ukrainian financial sector confidence and support its economy after having been affected by global financial crisis. IMF program is planned to be efficient for 2 years. Within Nov 2008 Ukraine had already received IMF credit first tranche (US$4.5 milliard). IMF decision on granting next tranche to Ukraine will strongly depend on our country reaching certain purpose-oriented results (which Ukraine was bound to reach still by end 2008).
