12.11.2008 16:30 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Oct 2008 pigs number has grown to 6,951.000 heads (as of Nov 01, 2008), up 8,600 heads (+ 0.1%) against Sept 2008, reported State Statistics Committee.

As to Committee, within Oct 2008 population individual economies pigs number has declined to 4,131.600 heads (as of Nov 01, 2008), down 6,100 heads (- 0.2%) against Sept 2008, while agricultural companies pigs number has improved to 2,819.200 heads (as of Nov 01, 2008), up 14,700 heads (+ 0.5%) against Sept 2008.

As to Committee, Nov 01, 2008 pigs number was down 986,500 heads (- 12.4%) against Nov 01, 2007 (agricultural companies pigs number has lowered by 10.8%, population individual economies – by 13.5%).

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Sept 2008 pigs number had risen to 6,942.000 heads (as of Oct 01, 2008), up 60,600 heads (+ 0.9%) as of Aug 2008.
