8 regions Aug butter prices up 0.6-2.8%, to UAH21,5-25,58 per kg

Aug 2008 retail sale network butter prices have risen to UAH21,5-25,58 per kg (up 0.6-2.8% against Jul 2008) in 8 regions shops and simultaneously declined to UAH19,32-25,42 per kg (down 0.05-6.7% as of Jul 2008) in 5 regions shops, reported Ministry of Economics representative. As to representative, Aug 2008 most expensive butter (UAH25,58 per kg) was sold in Dnipropetrovsk region shops, while most cheap butter (UAH19,32 per kg) was sold in shops of AR of the Crimea. As to Ministry of Economics, within Aug 2008 butter prices have lifted to UAH17,44-23,75 per kg, up 0.3-6.9% as of Jul 2008 on 10 regions markets and at same time sagged to UAH16,98-26,0 per kg, down 0.2-6.3% against Jul 2008 on 8 regions markets, with maximal (UAH26,0 per kg) and minimal (UAH15,0 per kg) butter prices having been registered correspondingly on c. Sevastopol and Lviv region markets. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Jul 2008 retail sale network butter prices had climbed to UAH20,71-25,73 per kg (up 0.1-4.5% against Jun 2008) in 5 regions shops and simultaneously lowered to UAH21,12-25,37 per kg (down 0.1-2.7% as of Jul 2008) in 8 regions shops. As to Agro Perspective, within Jul 2008 butter prices had hoisted to UAH21,44-26,3 per kg, up 0.2-1.0% as of Jun 2008 on 4 regions markets and at same time weakened to UAH17,38-24,79 per kg, down 0.2-3.0% against Jun 2008 on 16 regions markets.
