16 regions Jul sugar prices up 0.3-15.3%, to UAH3,48-4,15 per kg

15.08.2008 14:22 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As to Ministry of Economics representative, within Jul 2008 sugar prices have boosted to UAH3,48–4,15 per kg (up 0.3–15.3% against Jun 2008) on 16 regions markets and simultaneously lowered to UAH3,53–3,75 per kg (down 0.3–1.3% against Jun 2008) on 4 markets. As to Ministry, Jul 2008 highest (UAH4,15 per kg) and lowest (UAH3,48 per kg) sugar prices have been registered correspondingly on c. Sevastopol and Sumy region markets. As to report, Jul 2008 retail sale network sugar prices have grown to UAH3,5–3,86 per kg, up 0.3–5.2% as of Jun 2008 in 13 regions shops and simultaneously declined to UAH3,52–3,85 per kg, down 0.3–2.6% against Jun 2008 in 7 regions shops, with maximal (UAH3,86 per kg) and minimal (UAH3,5 per kg) sugar prices having been registered correspondingly in c. Sevastopol and Odesa region shops. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, within Jun 2008 sugar prices had sagged to UAH3,38–4,07 per kg (down 0.9–12.6% against May 2008) on 23 regions markets and simultaneously climbed to UAH3,59 per kg (up 0.6% against May 2008) on AR of the Crimea markets. As to Agro Perspective, Jun 2008 retail sale network sugar prices had dipped to UAH3,47–3,88 per kg, down 0.3–4.9% as of May 2008 in 26 regions shops.
