21 regions Feb butter prices up 0.3-16.1%, to UAH17,27-27,7 per kg

Feb 2008 retail sale network butter prices have boosted to UAH17,27-27,7 per kg (up 0.3-16.1% against Jan 2008) in 21 regions shops and simultaneously sagged to UAH20,21-23,75 per kg (down 0.1-6.9% as of Jan 2008) in 3 regions shops, reported Ministry of Economics representative. As to representative, Feb 2008 most expensive butter (UAH27,7 per kg) was sold in Zhytomyr region shops, while most cheap butter (UAH17,27 per kg) was sold in shops of Donetsk region. As to Ministry of Economics, within Feb 2008 butter prices have lifted to UAH16,77-25,0 per kg, up 0.2-13.6% as of Jan 2008 on 20 regions markets and at same time declined to UAH17,79-20,76 per kg, down 0.5-5.2% against Jan 2008 on 4 regions markets, with maximal (UAH25,0 per kg) and minimal (UAH14,63 per kg) butter prices having been registered correspondingly on c. Sevastopol and Lviv region markets. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Jan 2008 retail sale network butter prices had improved to UAH16,89-25,79 per kg (up 0.1-41.7% against Dec 2007) in 18 regions shops and simultaneously lowered to UAH19,32-21,5 per kg (down 0.3-2% as of Dec 2007) in 2 regions shops. As to Agro Perspective, Jan 2008 butter prices had strengthened to UAH14,25-24,0 per kg, up 0.7-19% as of Dec 2007 on 19 regions markets and at same time weakened to UAH20,87-21,16 per kg, down 1.4-5.5% against Dec 2007 on 4 regions markets.
