Agrarians have sown spring crops at 240,000 ha

As of Mar 5, agrarians have sown early spring grains/leguminous crops at 240,000 ha (10% total planned), reported Ministry of Agrarian Policy press-service. As to press-service, agrarians have sown spring wheat at 3,200 ha (1% total planned), barley – at 198,000 ha (6%), oats – at 10,000 ha (2%), peas – at 28,000 ha (10%). Besides, agrarians have fertilized 2,055.000 ha (26% total planned) winter crops sown areas. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, this year agrarians plan to sow total spring crops at 5.8 mn ha, incl. spring grains/leguminous crops – at 7.7 mn ha (in part., spring barley is to be sown at 3.6 mn ha, maize – at 2.3 mn ha, sunseeds – at 3.2 mn ha, sugar beet – at 0.6 mn ha and soybeans – at 0.7 mn ha).
