Cabinet likely to restrict vegetable oil export
20.09.2007 08:08 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Cabinet is possible to introduce vegetable oil export limitations due to current retail sale network sunoil prices growth, reported Myckola Azarov (Deputy Premier, First Vice-Premier, Finance Minister). Azarov has given corresponding charges to Yuriy Melnyk (Minister of Agrarian Policy) and Anatoliy Kinakh (Minister of Economics). “Within last few days a tendency towards sunoil prices growth has emerged. This factor is absolutely unjustified. I would ask Minister of Agrarian Policy and Minister of Economics to immediately examine this problem and pass some proposals on sunoil export limitations to Cabinet: perhaps, that would be quoting/licensing,” recapitulated Azarov. He added prices growth isn’t economically motivated and may be explained only with Verkhovna Rada future election. “One may ask: what other reason, save for future election, can be motivated current prices growth with? “ said Deputy Premier. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Aug retail sale network sunoil prices had grown to UAH5,99-7,89 per liter, up 2.9-28.5% against Jul.
