Economy ministry plans sunflower indicative price increase in August to USD 485 per ton

The Economy Ministry intends to increase indicative prices for sunflower for August to USD 450 per ton (FOB Black Sea ports) and to USD 475 per ton (DAF), the Agrarika company reported referring to the decision of the indicative prices council of the ministry. Flax indicative price is intended to be set at USD 380 per ton and for false flax seeds at USD 150 per ton. As Agro Perspectiva earlier report, the Economy Ministry intends to increase indicative prices for sunflower seeds for July to USD 350 (FOB Black Sea ports) and to USD 340 per ton (DAF). 2006 sunseeds crop had grown to 5.3 million tons (in terms of weight after additional processing), up 0.615 million tons (+ 13.1%) against 2005. 2005 sunseeds crop totaled 4.7 million tons (2004 — 3.05 million tons). Ministry of Economics sets indicative prices for products which have initiated (or can initiate) antidumping operations against corresponding Ukrainian producers.
