Ministry of Agrarian Policy to ban grains export since Jun 20

Ministry of Agrarian Policy has proposed to Cabinet to prohibit grains export since Jun 20 due to country bread market destabilization beginning/bread prices growth, says Cabinet draft Decree (published on Ministry of Agrarian Policy official website)
As to Ministry experts, export limitation alongside with other necessary measures will enable authorities to stabilize bread market.
As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Cabinet started examining grains export quoting mechanism Jul 1/Oct 1 2007 introduction possibility due to this year grains crop pessimistic forecasts based on current unfavorable weather conditions and owing to grains traders having activated export contracts conclusions.
Cabinet suggested grains quoting/licensing introduction should cover following kinds grains: wheat, wheat/rye mixture (mesline) (UKT VED codes: 1001 10 00 90, 1001 90 90 00), barley (1003 00 90 00), maize (1005 90 00 00) and rye (1002 00 00 00). If adopted, this Decree would come into effect Jul 1, 2007 (to remain in vigor until Oct 1, 2007).
As to Agro Perspective, Apr 2007 grains export had hoisted to 1,011.100 MT, up 12% as of Mar 2007.
2006/07 MY (Jul/06-Apr/07) grains export totaled 8,099.900 MT.
