Agrarians have sown maize at 0.3 mn ha

23.04.2007 12:01 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of Apr 19, agricultural companies have sown maize at 292,000 ha (15% total planned), reported Ministry of Agrarian Policy press-service.

As to report, this year agrarians plan to sow maize at total 1,500.000 ha.

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, as of Apr 12, agrarians had sown maize at 30,000 ha (2% total planned).

As to Agro Perspective, 2006 maize crop had shortened to 6,425.600 MT, down 741,000 MT (- 10.3%) against 2005.

In 2006 agrarians had harvested maize at 1,720.300 MT (up as of 1,659.500 ha in 2005).
