Kazakhstan: the area under crops will make 18 million in hectares

In Kazakhstan in 2007 the general(common) area under crops of agricultural crops on the crop’s eve will make 18 million in hectares. It(this) was declared by vice-minister of agriculture Dulat Ajtzhanov, informs " Kazakhstan Today ".
" On preliminary data, the area under crops in current to year as a whole on republic will make 18 million in hectares ", — D.Ajtzhanov has told. Thus it(he) has emphasized, that the area under crops under the basic grain culture — a spring wheat will be reduced. As he said, it(she) will make 11,4 million in hectares that is less a than level of the last year on 369 thousand in hectares.
" Olive cultures will be placed on the area 730 thousand in hectares that is less a than level of the last year on 28 thousand in hectares ", — D.Ajtzhanov has informed. " Reduction of the olive areas is connected with reduction of the fields allocated(removed) under sunflower in the East Kazakhstan, South-Kazakhstan, Pavlodar and Almaty areas ", — it(he) has explained.
At the same time, according to vice-minister, growth of areas under crops on an oats, grechikhe and corn is predicted.
Now sowing works are conducted in Almaty, ZHambylskoj, Kyzylordinskoj and the South-Kazakhstan areas. " Security seeds makes almost 100 %, except for the Aktyubinsk area where there is no order 300 t seeds. This question will be solved next week by means of delivery of the seed loan due to «prodkorporatsii», — D.Ajtzhanov has noted.
