Ukrainian Agrarian Fund revealed State Food Reserve 2,300 MT sugar shortage

Controlling and Auditing Department of Agrarian Fund has submitted to Procurator-General Office data on State Food Reserve warehouses 2,317 MT granulated sugar deficiency, reported Agrarian Fund press-service. «Agrarian Fund has sent to Procurator-General Office appeals for State interests protection regarding case of granulated sugar deficiency in order to examine these facts and give juridical assessment of these companies officials actions,» says press-service. As to press-service, within this year Jan Controlling and Auditing Department of Agrarian Fund has checked up sugar (purchased in 2005 for State Food Reserve) availability/storage conditions and revealed 2,317 MT sugar stock shortage on Kirovograd/Cherkassy regions companies warehouses. Agrarian Fund reminds that, due to Cabinet commission, Ministry of Interior Affairs, Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Main Controlling and Auditing Administration and Agrarian Fund itself have formed groups to control State Food Reserve sugar availability in all country regions. As earlier reported, within Dec 2006 Agrarian Fund had started purchasing sugar (produced from 2006 crop sugar beet) for State Food Reserve. As of now, Fund functions as Ministry of Agrarian Policy structural subdivision; Fund executes food articles interventions/mortgage purchases.
