Ukrspyrt to boost spirit sale prices for alcohol drinks producers to UAH44-46 per dl, up 9.5-21%

State-owned Concern Ukrspyrt (Spirit and Alcohol Drinks Industry) is going to raise spirit sale prices for country alcohol drinks producers by UAH6,08,0 per dl (+ 9.521%), up to UAH44,046,0 per dl since this year Oct 1, reported Volodymyr Demchak, Association «Union of Alcohol Drinks and Tobacco Products Producers and Wholesalers» (SOVAT) Director. As to Demchak, Sept 22 Kyiv Regional State-owned Association Kyivspyrt (Spirit and Alcohol Drinks Industry), subordinate to Ukrspyrt, had addressed official letter to country alcohol drinks producers informing about sprit prices Oct 1, 2006 growth: Liuks class spirit from current UAH38,042,0 per dl up to UAH46,0 per dl, Ekstra from current UAH39 per dl up to UAH45 per dl, highest rectification spirit from current UAH38,0 per dl up to UAH44,0 per dl. Kyivspyrt letter stipulates alcohol drinks producers should renew earlier concluded spirit purchase contracts until Oct 1, 2006 due to new sale prices. Demchak made it known Sept 26 alcohol drinks producers had received one more Kyivspyrt letter informing Kyivspyrt would temporary suspend earlier concluded contracts spirit shipments until additional agreements on new sale prices are signed. As earlier reported, this Mar country alcohol drinks producers had received letters from Kyivspyrt informing on Kyivspyrt intention to raise its products prices since Apr 1,2006; producers as well received letters from State-owned Concern Ukrspyrt recommending to establish following spirit sale prices: Liuks UAH41,0 per dl, Ekstra UAH40,0 per dl, rectified grain ethyl spirit 38,5 per dl and rectified molasses ethyl spirit UAH36,5 per dl, what prompted SOVAT to declare its readiness to appeal to UAC (Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee) for investigation of State-owned Concern Ukrspyrt activity in case if Ukrspyrt raises sale prices. End Mar Kyivspyrt refused to raise spirit unified sale prices. Feb 7 UAC obliged Ukrspyrt to withdraw letters recommending its companies to sell spirit at newly established overrated prices.
