Following are selected highlights from a report issued by a U. S. Department of Agriculture attache in The Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Saudi Arabia increased tariffs on a wide range of food and non-food products on June 20, 2020, including 224 food and agriculture products. The revised food and agriculture tariffs range between 6 and 15 percent. Dairy products account for approximately 84% of the food and agriculture products on the revised list. Traders should note that there are two lists of new tariff rates, and that this new list from June 18, 2020 supersedes the list issued on May 27, 2020. This report only covers the food and agriculture portion of the tariff revisions. It also supersedes our June 2, 2020 report entitled «Saudi Arabia Increases Import Duty on Some Food Products». Saudi Arabia originally announced revised tariffs on May 27, 2020 to be imposed on June 10, 2020. It later decided to suspend the imposition of those tariffs. Subsequently, it announced this revised list on June 18, 2020, and imposed the tariffs on June 20, 2020. This revised list does not include several products that were in the original list of tariff increases. The following items were in the original list but are not in the revised list. Livestock Livestock meat Poultry meat Fish and seafood Vegetables Sweet corn Watermelon and melons Olive oil Stuffed meat Processed potato products Peas and prepared peas Various fruit and vegetables fruits and concentrates Dried yeast Tomato ketchup and tomato sauces Mayonnaise and flavored mayonnaise products
