Ternopil region agrarians harvested 162,000 MT winter wheat

As of Aug 18, Ternopil region agrarians have mowed early grains/leguminous at 121,000 ha (48% of total planned 252,000 ha), reported Ternopil Regional State Administration press-service. As to State Administration, regional agrarians have harvested 162,047 MT winter wheat (average yield 24,5 metric centners per ha, down against 24,7 metric centners per ha as of Aug 16); wheat has been mowed at 58,000 ha (of total planned 102,000 ha). As to press-service, agrarians have harvested 83,335 MT spring barley; barley has been mowed at 35,000 ha (of total planned 72,000 ha). Barley average yield equals to 23,8 metric centners per ha (down against 24,3 metric centners per ha as of Aug 16). As to State Administration, regional agrarians have harvested 25,220 MT peas; peas have been mowed at 11,400 ha (of total planned 18,000 ha). Peas average yield equals to 22,2 metric centners per ha (down against 22,4 metric centners per ha as of Aug 16). Besides, 4,693 MT winter rye have been as well harvested. Winter rye has been mowed at 2,760 ha (of total planned 6,000 ha). Rye average yield is 17 metric centners per ha (up against 16,6 metric centners per ha as of Aug 16). As to report, Ternopil region agrarians have also harvested 11,506 MT spring wheat, having mowed it at 5,000 ha (of total planned 39,000 ha). Spring wheat average yield is 23,1 metric centners per ha (down against 23,3 metric centners per ha as of Aug 16). Agrarians have as well started harvesting spring rape. Rape has been mown already at 486 ha of total planned 5,000 ha; rape crop is 573 MT, average yield 11,8 metric centners per ha. As earlier reported, in 2005 Ternopil region agrarians had harvested 1,044.800 MT grains at 443,300 ha, with grains yielding capacity averaging 23,6 metric centners per ha.
