From Ukrainian market, Sri Lanka launches Ceylon tea promotion global campaign

As of this week, the Sri Lanka Government has launched a global campaign to promote Ceylon tea as its own national brand, Ukrinform reports.
As to the report, the campaign is to start within Ukrainian, and then widened upon 12 other countries.
«Kyiv has been chosen as the location for such a historic program starting. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for us to distribute Ceylon tea among people within Ukraine. This is just the beginning of a very powerful advertising and information campaign that will continue within 12 countries around the world,» Sri Lanka Tea Bureau Director Nima Mitterraratne has said while speaking within Kyiv on the start of the campaign.
As to Mitterraratne, the campaign will last until Oct 2021, covering Japan, China, the USA, Australia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain, Germany, Chile and Iran.
As to him, Sri Lanka is going to invest in total US$2 million (UAH50 million) into promoting its national brand on the Ukrainian market.
