EU provides ˆ40 million to boost sustainable fisheries, aquaculture within Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific

As of this week, Our Ocean 2019 international conference has been held (Oct 2324) within Oslo (Norway), FAO reports.
As to the report, the conference has brought together leaders from governments, businesses, civil society and research institutions to share their experience, identify solutions and commit to action for a clean, healthy and productive ocean.
As to the report, within the conference, the EU, the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) signed a ˆ40 million, five-year programme (FISH4ACP) to boost the development of sustainable fisheries and aquaculture within Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
It is to be admitted, the FISH4ACP is an innovative EU-funded programme, devised with ACP and to be implemented by FAO. It will invest into value chains to stimulate inclusive growth, bolster food security and minimise impacts on the marine environment.
