DTEK builds biggest European/Ukrainian solar power plant with 246 MW capacity

Solar-Farm 1 LLC in the middle of January 2019 launched the largest solar power plant in Ukraine with a capacity of 246 MW in Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region.
As of today, the Ukrainian National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER) has approved a draft resolution on setting the feed-in tariff for Nikopol solar power plant as much as EUR15.03 per MW until 2030, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
It is to be reminded, within this year mid-Jan, Solar-Farm 1 LLC launched the Ukrainian solar power plant with a capacity of 246 MW within Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region.
As to the report, the Nikopol solar power plant is planned to generate up to 290 million kWh of electricity a year; this is the largest solar power plant within Ukraine and Europe.
It is to be admitted, Solar-Farm 1 LLC belongs to DTEK Renewables B. V., operating the assets of DTEK Group within the sphere of renewable energy.
As to the earlier report, the contractor of the plant is China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC). Trina Solar Limited shipped the solar cell arrays for the plant.
As to the report, as of this year Mar, the plant will be connected to the Ukrainian domestic power grid.
Reportedly, the plant will be able to fully meet the needs of 100,000 households within Ukraine and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 300,000 tons per year.
