Ukrainian berries winning Chinese market

As of now, Ukraine continues its frozen berries’ expansion to the other continues’ markets; thus, within Jan-Nov 2018, Ukraine exported to China frozen blueberries and blueberries for total US$2 million (up 11 times against 2016 similar and up 19% against 2017), EastFruit reports.
As to the report, as of 2018, Ukraine managed to bypass Poland and take the honorable 8th place within the ranking of shippers of frozen fruits and berries to China. At the same time, Ukraine did not ship frozen raspberries and garden strawberries to China (despite the Ukrainian domestic raspberries/ garden strawberries output and export sharp boost within the last four seasons).
In meanwhile, Fedir Rybalko, Director of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association, has forecasted the Ukrainian total export of frozen berries within 2018/19 MY will exceed 50,000 tons for the first time ever, and the total earnings from the export of fresh and frozen berries will approach, firstly ever, US$100 million.
