New Ukrainian agricultural products exported to Canada within 2018

As of today, while speaking within a meeting with the Canadian delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Canada Frederick J. Gorrell, Deputy Agrarian Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine Olha Trofimtseva has said within 2018 a number of new Ukrainian products that is, maize, frozen vegetables/fruits, ready-made soups was exported to Canada within the framework of a free trade agreement, Ukrinform says referring to the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food report.
«Canada is a strategic partner of Ukraine. It is among the top 20 markets within the focus of the Ukrainian Export Strategy. The free trade agreement between our countries opens up wide opportunities for a substantial trade boost of the agricultural products and expansion of product portfolio,» Trofimtseva said.
As to the report, within the meeting the participants parties discussed prospects for exporting of the premium agricultural products, the demand for which is growing rapidly within Canada in particular, frozen and fresh vegetables, fruits, organic products, preserved food. Also, they talked about certification of poultry products, live bees and bee packages, which should significantly expand the opportunities for Ukrainian exporters.
Also, the parties agreed to develop scientific cooperation within bioeconomy and green economy.
