20.11.2018 21:44 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of this year Nov 19, Ukrainian agrarians have got 66.4 million tons grains/leguminous crops at 14.3 million ha (96% total planned areas), average yield - 46.5 metric centners per ha, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
It is to be reminded, as of last year similar, grains/leguminous crops’ average yield was 41.8 metric centners per ha.
«Due to the fairly favorable weather conditions for the late spring crops, our experts’ cautious forecasts for a record harvest within the Ukrainian independence period are beginning to materialize. At the moment, when the harvesting still continues, we have got over 66 million tons - what already exceeds the previous highest result received within 2016,» First Deputy Minister of Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Maxim Martyniuk admits.
As to him, this year the agrarians have received an historical record high grains crop thanks to the maize high crop (which is also expected to reach an historical record high - about 34.8 million tons). It is to be admitted, now the maize has been threshed at 4.1 million ha (90%), maize crop - 31.3 million tons, average yield - 75.9 metric centners per ha (up against last year similar 52.3 metric centners per ha).
