Ukrainian new crop sugar output 1 million tons

As of this year Nov 5, Ukrainian sugar plants have produced 1.03 million tons new crop sugar, Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to Ruslana Butylo, Head of Analytical Department of Ukrsugar (Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers), report.
As to the report, now 39 sugar plants are working within Ukraine, with one sugar plant having already ended its output season. The Ukrainian sugar plants have processed 7.9 million tons sugar beets, down 2.5% against last year similar.
«As to the earlier forecast, taking into account the weather conditions, this year Ukrainian sugar beets’ sugar content is 16.26%, down against last year similar 17.21%. Besides, this year Ukrainian sugar beets’ processing has resulted in 13.31% sugar yield, down against last year similar 14.24%. However, we are certain, this year Ukraine will be able to retain its total sugar output as much as 2 million tons,» Butylo explains.
As to the report, as of this year Nov 5, Ukrainian agrarians have harvested their sugar beets at 231,000 ha, 83% total sown areas. Highest sugar beets’ harvests have been achieved by the Vinnytsia region, Poltava region and Ternopil region agrarians.
