New swine fever outbreaks recorded within Ukrainian two regions

As of this week, veterinary experts have reported new African swine fever (ASF) outbreaks within the Ukrainian Donetsk region and Chernihiv region. Thus, in part., two ASF cases were registered within these regions within this year Sept 27 Oct 3, UNIAN says referring to the Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection report.
As to the report, the lab tests conducted by experts confirmed the animals there had been infected. It is noted that measures are being taken to contain and prevent the spread of the ASF pathogen.
It is to be reminded, 60 ASF cases were registered within Ukraine within this year Jan-Jul. In meanwhile, 163 ASF outbreaks has been registered within Ukraine as of 2017.
