As of today, while speaking within the Government meeting, Ukrainian First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Maxim Martynyuk has said that he expects the State support program for the Ukrainian domestic horticulture and viticulture totaling UAH300 million will either be fully implemented or overfulfilled, Ukrinform reports.
«The Government has allotted UAH300 million for the domestic gardening support of which UAH73 million have been already paid. We have still the gardeners’ applications for UAH484 million. Of course, from these applications a part will be removed after the work of the local district commissions, but it is obvious that we will either use all the funds or we will ask for a redistribution of the funds in order to add them to this program,» Martyniuk admitted.
As to Martyniuk, presently 1,255 ha of the new garden plantations (incl. grain, stone fruit trees’ sorts and walnut trees’ sorts) as well as 78 ha of vineyards have been already laid.
«There have been created 1,000 permanent jobs, as well as 5,000 seasonal jobs,» he summed up.
