As of this week, while sharing an interview with the «AgroPolit», Head of the State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service Volodymyr Lapa has said that the Service has already analyzed over 80 samples of the dead bees which have perished within a recent bees’ plague, and 53% of them confirmed the presence of chemicals, Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection reports.
«So, there is a problem, and it is a complex one,» Lapa admitted.
As to Lapa, now it is time to adopt a law which would determine that the domestic agricultural companies must inform the local self-government bodies about their intention to begin processing their land areas with chemicals.
Lapa admits that the agricultural companies must provide the information about the title of the chemicals, the location of the land area which is planned to be processed, the date and the method (airplane or tractor) of the processing. Lapa notes that now the information demanded from the agricultural companies is not sufficient.
