As of this year first half, Ukraine boosted fruits/berries export up to US$100 million

Within this year Jan-Jun, Ukraine has grown fruits/berries export to US$100 million, up 59% against last year similar, Interfax-Ukraine says referring to the Ukrsadprom (Ukrainian Association of Industrial Horticulture and Berry Growing) Association report.
As to the report, within this year Jan-Jun, Ukraine has been exporting as earlier mainly
walnuts (US$ 64 million), frozen berries (US$23 million), apples and pears (US$ 8 million).
«This year, Ukraine has grown, against last year, the walnut export from 12,000 tons to 19,000 tons, and the apples/pears export from 6,000 tons to 24,000 tons; simultaneously, frozen berries’ export has declined - from 17,000 tons to 14,000 tons,» the report runs.
As to the report, within this year first half, Ukrainian fruits/berries’ main purchasers were the EU countries (who purchased over 60% Ukrainian total fruits/berries export).
