Culture Ministry: At the Frankfurt Book Fair Ukraine will demonstrate achievements of 17 Ukrainian publishing houses

As of yesterday, an opening ceremony of the Frankfurt Book Fair-2017 took place, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, Ukrainian Minister of Cultural Affairs of Ukraine Evgheny Nishchuk as a part of the Ukrainian ( headed by the Ukrainian Vice-prime minister Pavel Rozenko) took part within the opening ceremony of the Fair as well as the National stand of Ukraine.
It is to be admitted, organizers of the present stand of Ukraine are the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture (together with HKXMK «Mistetskiy Arsenal») and the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Reportedly, at the Frankfurt Book Fair the national stand of Ukraine will show achievements of 17 Ukrainian publishing houses, including the modern Ukrainian literature, the world classics who were born in the Ukrainian territory and the edition about visual culture. Among them there are editions «A-BA-BA-GA-LA-MA-GI», «Vidavnitstva Starogo Leva», ArtHuss Fund, Rodovoda, Fol_o, Smoloskip, Book club «S_meyne Dozv_llya», publishing houses «Lib_d», «Kalvar_ya» and the Agency of Cultural Development.
As to the report, the design of the National stand of Ukraine at the Fair was developed under the influence of the Ukrainian art of modernism.
On the list of the activities to be carried out at the Ukrainian stand, there is a meeting with the Ukrainian authors (Andrey Kurkov, Ekaterina Babkina, Oksana Zabuzhko, Ekaterina Kalitko, Ostap Slavinsky and other famous authors), a number of literary actions and presentations, including discussions about variety and historical challenges of the Ukrainian culture and the creative human capacity of Ukraine - one of the largest European countries.
