As of today, the highest level of fire danger remains within eight Ukrainian regions, Ukrinform says referring to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service report.
«As of Aug 22, extreme (5 class) fire hazard remains in Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions,» the report reads.
As to the report, the Emergency Service has called on Ukrainian citizens to follow general fire safety rules while staying within forests, parks, and open areas and not to provoke fires within ecosystems. The rescuers underlined that within the past day there were 512 fire outbreaks on open territories within Ukraine.
Thus, in part., the extinction of large-scale forest fires within Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr and Luhansk regions still continues.
