Poroshenko took part within Batumi Ukraine-Georgia investment forum

As of yesterday, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili took part in the Ukraine-Georgia investment forum in Batumi participated by 100 Georgian companies and 35 Ukrainian ones, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, Poroshenko told that in two days of the visit to Georgia, he saw that the Ukrainian-Georgian relations have a friendly and strategic character. «Common challenges of our states make them not only the states-warriors, but also states-constructors,» he said.
As to the report, the Ukrainian President shared his impressions from the visit to the delimitation line in the occupied region of Tskhinvali and conversation with local residents. Petro Poroshenko stressed that global unity and solidarity against the aggressor must be ensured. «What else do we need? We need to be determined in reforming our states,» he admitted.
As to the report, Petro Poroshenko emphasized that Ukraine and Georgia are among the leaders of the Eastern Partnership who carried out lots of reforms, signed the Association Agreement and gained the visa-free regime.
«Nobody except you and us demonstrates such a pace and firmly creates an attractive investment climate fighting corruption, introducing decentralization and deregulation,» he said.
As to the report, Poroshenko praised the agreement on the establishment of direct international railway connection through the ports of Ukraine and Georgia signed last year. «We agreed to continue our cooperation in this sphere,» he informed. As to Petro Poroshenko, this document will connect Ukraine and Georgia with other countries on the Great Silk Road. «Supply of energy carriers from the Caspian Sea via this route is an important issue,» he added. He is confident that entering the new reliable markets creates stability of the domestic economy.
As to the report, the Ukrainian President also paid special attention to the tourist sector. As to him, the use of sea transport is a promising direction.
In his turn, the President of Georgia noted: «Business is energy, which gives an opportunity for our countries to develop». He emphasized that the participation of the two Presidents within the forum demonstrated
their attitude to business.
