19.04.2017 14:57 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of today, while speaking within a Cabinet meeting, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has said it is necessary to make a sustainable solid waste management plan which will provide an opportunity to start addressing existing and prevent new ecological problems, Government Portal reports.
«The Integrated Waste Management Plan should be elaborated for each region, there should be modern landfills as well as recycling plants,» Groisman stressed.
As to him, it is the most pressing problem to be resolved immediately for today.
As to Groisman, it is vitally important to develop a serious and sustainable approach to ensure implementation of a solid waste management program because so far such approach has not been triggered in the country.
«The problem of waste management which was not the value on the table led to such great ecological problems in many spheres and regions. It was possible to get this work done 20 years ago and forget about this problem,» the PM has summed up.
