Groisman: IMF postpones a meeting on tranche for Ukraine due to the need to assess macroeconomic indicators within 2017

As of yesterday, while sharing an interview with the ‘Ukraine’ television channel, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said the International Monetary Fund had postponed considering of an issue of granting a loan tranche to Ukraine through the need to update macroeconomic showings within 2017 with regard to the negative impact of the blockade within energy and economy sectors, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, the Prime Minister stressed the postponement had occurred only because of the need to recalculate the economic effects in 2017 as a result of grave consequences of the trade blockade on the country’s economy.
«This is another challenge for me as the Prime Minister to respond to,» he emphasized.
As to the report, the Prime Minister noted despite such difficult circumstance the Government engages in pursuing a pension reform to ensure a fairness principle and increase retirement payments.
As to the report, Groisman considers it crucial to apply new approaches to the work of the National Bank of Ukraine. As to him, it is of utmost importance to find tools for additional leverage of investment to the national economy as well as to prolong economic growth with help of such investment.
