Ukrainian, Slovenian Presidents discussed wide range of bilateral cooperation issues

As of today, within his official visit to Slovenia, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with President of Slovenia Borut Pahor, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, within the meeting the Presidents discussed the development of bilateral relations in economic, cultural and social cooperation.
«We have discussed bilateral cooperation in economic sphere and noted with contentment the increase of economic activity between our states. We notice that along with the increase of levels of GDP growth, mutual trade turnover grows as well. The establishment of DCFTA since Jan 1, 2016 has also contributed to that,» Poroshenko told following the negotiations.
As to the report, President of Slovenia praised the reforms in Ukraine - decentralization, ensuring the rule of law, anti-corruption reform and improvement of the investment climate.
«I think that Slovenian support for our reforms is very important for us,» Ukrainian President emphasized.
As to the report, Poroshenko told that the parties have reached an agreement to restore direct air connection between Kyiv and Ljubljana.
«I think this will promote the development of interpersonal contacts and help use the great tourist and business potential between our countries,» he said.
Reportedly, Poroshenko also thanked Slovenia for its firm and resolute support of the visa-free regime for Ukrainians: «This event will become an important step in the intensification of contacts between our nations».
As to the report, the Presidents also discussed social and humanitarian cooperation issues.
