UNICEF: 300 million children worldwide live in areas with worst air pollution

About 300 million children, or one in seven youngsters globally, are living in areas of the world with the most toxic levels of outdoor air pollution, UN Radio says referring to the UNICEF (UN Children’s Fund) report titled «Clear the Air for Children».
As to the report, air pollution is linked to pneumonia and other respiratory diseases that can kill children or affect their development, with poor children being most affected.
It is to be admitted, «Clear the Air for Children» has been released ahead of the latest UN climate change conference, known as COP22, to be held next month in Marrakech, Morocco.
