Vice PM Kubiv: Ukraine ready to integrate into EU digital economy

As of today, following his visit to Brussels, Ukrainian First Vice Prime Minister, Minister for Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv said
Ukraine has huge potential so that to integrate into the digital economy space of the European Union, Ukrinform reports.
«I see huge potential in the sphere of digital economy. European Commissioner [for Digital Economy and Society Gunther] Oettinger has represented a full action plan for Ukraines joining this area. This is a very big market. And it shows that Ukraine, taking into account the success in the issues of IT, software, is ready for this cooperation,» Kubiv emphasized.
He also reminded that the IT sphere adds 5% of income to Ukrainian GDP.
However, at the same time, he noted that several correspondent laws should be adopted for the further development of the Ukrainian digital economy.
As to the report, Kubiv also said that he had preliminary agreed with the European Commission representatives to hold the forum on digital economy and technology in Ukraine.
