Prime Minister: Ukrainian science must integrate into real economy

As of yesterday, within the frameworks of his working visit to Zaporizhia region, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman had hold a meeting with the Zaporizhian National University students, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, within the meeting he said the Ukrainian science should be integrated in real sector of economy so that to ensure applying in practice of domestic solutions elaborated in different areas.
«Our task today is to incorporate science into the real sector to ensure introduction of the solutions elaborated in Ukraine in various spheres. We need to get them into practice,» Groisman admitted.
As to him, the system of the Academy of Sciences requires major changes and reforms. So, in Ukraine there hasn’t been created an effective system of motivation and incentives, particularly for young scientists. Science has been long detached from the real economy.
Also, Groisman noted that lately he had had a meeting with scientists to discuss the problems in the scientific sphere. As to him, within this year Nov similar meeting will be summoned for the presentation by scientists of their vision about how to change the situation with the Academy of Sciences.
«Unfortunately, brain drain, and reduced funding, and increasing ages of scientists all that is weakening our positions,» he said.
Also, the PM admitted he is ready to support an efficient plan of Ukrainian science modernization and support.
