Groisman, Buquicchio discussed Ukrainian reforms

As of last week, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman had a meeting in Kyiv with President of the Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, within the meeting Groisman and Buquicchio
discussed the reform path of Ukraine.
As to Groisman, presently a number of crucial reforms are carried out in Ukraine.
Thus, in part., Groisman focused attention on the reform of power decentralization and the judicial reform. So, the Parliament adopted changes to the Constitution regarding justice and a number of laws to carry out retrofitting of the judicial system.
«This is the branch of power that must be spotlessly clean, completely open, understandable and must have an impeccable reputation and the trust of society,» Groisman stressed.
As to the report, the PM also admitted that there had been created effective mechanisms of curbing corruption in Ukraine.
«Presently, all the tools both legislative and institutional to fight against corruption have been actually formed,» he said.
As to the report, the Ukrainian PM thanked the President of the Venice Commission for the Ukrainian reforms’ upholding.
In turn, Gianni Buquicchio praised the transformations in Ukraine and assured of the readiness to further support the country in its reform agenda.
«You will advance further, as all the measures that are taken appear the steps in the right direction,» he said.
