Poroshenko, Tusk negotiations

As of yesterday, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko held negotiations with President of the European Council Donald Tusk who arrived in Ukraine to participate in events on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, Ukrainian President expressed gratitude to the President of the European Council for consistent personal support for Ukraine in its struggle against the Russian aggression and implementation of reforms.
Reportedly, Poroshenko informed on the developments in Donbas and the efforts of Ukraine in the implementation of the Minsk agreements in the context of discussion of future relations between the EU and Russia within the European Council session of this year Oct 2021.
As to the report, Tusk welcomed successful efforts of the Ukrainian authorities on the track of reforms, confirmation of which was the IMF decision to restore the program of cooperation with Ukraine. He called that a positive signal of support for the real progress in reforms, including struggle against corruption.
«I would like to reiterate that the EU is willing to further provide comprehensive support to Ukraine on the track of economic growth, reforms and countering aggression,» President of the European Council said.
Reportedly, the leaders coordinated approaches on completion of ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, as well as prompt approval of the decision on introduction of the visa-free regime for Ukrainians by the European Parliament and the EU Council.
