Groisman: Once energy conservation is completed, Ukraine will be able to export natural gas
08.07.2016 17:23 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of today, while speaking within a Parliament briefing, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has said Ukraine will not only cover its own demand but it will also earn fund from exporting natural gas when it implements energy conservation measures, Ukrinform reports.
«Our task is to extract 20 milliard by State natural gas companies. In the context of energy-saving steps we will sell 15 milliard provisionally to households, and five milliard will be sold for foreign currency abroad,» Groisman said.
As to the report, Groisman reminded that a considerable amount of Ukrainian own natural gas output is produced by private companies.
«Out of 20 milliard cubic meters of Ukrainian own natural gas output, 8 milliard cubic meters of gas are produced by private companies. This gas is produced by special permission granted to private companies. Therefore we don’t possess 20 milliard. Furthermore, the European law on gas market was adopted last year,» he specified.
